DESCRIPTION:
This superb desk, c. 1920. is featured in the Anna-Greta Wahlberg book on Carl Malmsten. It's in rosewood veneer with frieze and top inlays of other exotics. The doors on either side of the knee area conceal 4 drawers on the left and a shallow drawer over a file drawer on the right. There are two additional drawers in the lower frieze. The desk is in excellent condition with a hinge modification on one door, allowing it to open fully, and minor cracking and scuffs in the original finish.
